Le voyageur is an eco-sustainable sailing boat commissioned in 2011 by Benoit Calvet.

While he spent his life sailing around the world since a little boy, what sparked the project was the traditional oyster sailing boats called Bac à Voile he discovered as a kid while vacationing in Bassin d’Arcachon. Since then he always had a soft spot for the magistral traditional boats, flat bottomed that were used by ostréiculteur until the motor was invented.

In the meantime, Benoit Calvet was researching eco-sustainable yachting and in this quest, he commissioned to the very respected yacht architects a modern version of the wooden traditional sailing boat he adored combined with more modern but sustainable materials. The result: a one of a kind collectible sailing boat with all the comfort and sailing sensation of a modern one.

Le Voyageur (traveller) was born.

Her unique built makes an ideal recreational craft.  Le Voyageur is perfect for socializing as you can have numerous people on board, a huge sun deck, and tables to serve lunch on board.

While sailing she stays rather balanced offering fantastic sailing sensations while being comfortable.

This boat now looks for a new owner.
